The area offers several opportunities to maintain a regular yoga practice and nurture your body, mind, and spirit. There are various retreat centers and studio’s in the area that provide activities like early morning yoga, Kirtan, Satsang, and in some cases a vegetarian kitchen with three meals a day. The area has drawn individuals who provide a variety of healing services like acupuncture, massage, consultations, cranial sacral therapy, sharing circles, and much more.

The local supermarket offers organic fruits and vegetables, along with all your essential items.

Public transport

5 Minutes

You’ll find that Sat Village is well-connected, with a bus station just a short 5 minute walk away. This bus can take you to the larger towns and cities in the area, as well as to the Sintra train station for trains to Lisbon Airport. Uber services are also reasonably priced for local travel.

There are at least four hospitals located at +- 30 minutes drive from Sat Village, ensuring convenient access to healthcare services when needed. Aditionally there are various healthcare centers in Ericeira – about 10 minutes drive from Sat Village.

Lisbon Airport

Fortunately, Lisbon Airport is nearby, making it convenient for friends and family from abroad to visit. Lisbon itself is a nice city to explore, offering charming architecture, historic sites, lively neighborhoods, and enjoyable food markets.

Natural reserve

Sat Village sits on a gentle slope, offering views of a beautiful valley with forests and a river below. It’s a lovely area for casual forest walks and other outdoor activity.

The Silver Coast is home to beautiful beaches, each with its own unique character. You’ll find peaceful, natural spots as well as the more commercial beaches with cafés and restaurants overlooking the waves. This region is also a popular among surfers and remote workers from all over the world. There is a really beautiful walk from Sat Village down to the beach which will take you about one hour. 

Ericeira (surfer’s hotspot)

Ericeira is a charming coastal village known for its beautiful beaches and surf culture. It offers a laid-back atmosphere with traditional fishing architecture, scenic cliffs, and a variety of local restaurants, making it a pleasant destination for those looking to relax by the sea.

Sintra (beautiful historical town)

Sintra is a mystical town known for its ancient palaces and gardens. A UNESCO World Heritage site, it features notable landmarks like the Pena Palace and the Moorish Castle, attracting visitors who appreciate its history and natural beauty.
